About cat jam on Cicadas

Cat jam, also called vibing cat, is the clip of a white cat nodding its head to a beat that became a Twitch emote in 2020. This page makes your own version from a photo of your cat: the photo is the first frame, and MiniMax H3 Max animates your cat nodding in time with a beat it makes itself, with no song from the original. Clips are 5 seconds by default, and the free video to GIF tool turns the MP4 into a GIF for chat.

Nodding right on the beat.

MiniMax H3 Max, 5 seconds with sound, from one square photo of a cat; back in 17 seconds as a square clip with the photo's framing. The tabby stays on the sofa and dips and lifts its head in a steady rhythm, eyes half closed, while the body stays still. Sound: an upbeat electronic dance beat, no vocals.

A slow sway, eyes half shut.

MiniMax H3 Max, 5 seconds with sound, from the same cat photo; back in 26 seconds. The cat tilts its head slowly from side to side with a contented look while the body stays still. We asked for a lo-fi hip-hop beat; the two listeners heard a relaxed instrumental with guitar, one of them calling it smooth jazz, with no vocals.

Why use Cicadas for cat jam

Your cat, not the original cat

In our two sample clips the cat, fur and sofa stayed close to the photo while the head moved to the beat. Other photos may change more. Use a clear, front-facing photo showing only your cat.

A beat, not the song

MiniMax H3 Max makes the sound with the picture. Our two clips came back with an upbeat electronic dance beat and a relaxed instrumental with guitar, both without vocals. The original clip's song is not included, and the model cannot leave the sound out.

Short clips, and a GIF in one more step

Five seconds is enough for a loop. Download the MP4, then make a GIF with the free video to GIF tool. At 480P, 5 seconds is 63 credits, 10 seconds is 125 and 15 seconds is 188; at 768P they are 100, 200 and 300.

Cat jam prompt ideas

Choose a fixed scene above; this page does not accept custom or edited prompts.

  • “Vertical phone footage of the cat in the photo, one continuous shot, locked camera. The cat bobs its head forward and back in a steady rhythm, right on the beat, as if vibing to music, eyes calm and half closed; its body and paws stay still. Keep the cat, its fur and the room exactly as in the photo. Sound: an upbeat electronic dance beat with a steady kick drum, no vocals, no lyrics. No text, no logos.”

  • “Vertical phone footage of the cat in the photo, one continuous shot, locked camera. The cat sways its head slowly from side to side in time with a relaxed beat, blinking contentedly, and gives two quick nods at the end; its body and paws stay still. Keep the cat, its fur and the room exactly as in the photo. Sound: a mellow lo-fi hip-hop beat with soft drums, no vocals, no lyrics. No text, no logos.”

Cat jam FAQ

Tested on Cicadas · reviewed 2026-10-15

Recorded on 2026-10-15 with MiniMax H3 Max image-to-video through fal.ai, the two recorded results using the exact scene prompts of this page, from the site's AI-made sample photo of a grey tabby on a sofa: 5 seconds, 480P, with sound. The classic nod came back in 17 seconds: the cat dips and lifts its head in a steady rhythm with its eyes half closed. The lo-fi sway came back in 26 seconds: the cat tilts its head from side to side with a contented look. Both kept the cat, the fur and the room as in the photo, and both are square like the photo. Two automated listeners heard an electronic dance beat in the first clip and a relaxed instrumental with guitar in the second (one called it smooth jazz; we asked for lo-fi hip-hop), with no speech or singing in either. A first send of the nod scene broke before its receipt was saved and was sent again. 10 and 15 seconds, 768P, dogs and real customer photos were not run.
