About Higgsfield Katana alternative on Cicadas

Higgsfield Katana is a Higgsfield skill for Claude that rebuilds a reference video edit with your own characters, products or clothing; it runs through Higgsfield's connector and needs an active Higgsfield subscription. If what you want is a video made with Claude, such as a launch teaser, an animated chart or a short explainer, this page does that for free: copy the prompt, paste Claude's answer back here, and the page draws the animation and writes an MP4 in your browser. It makes motion graphics, not generated footage: it does not rebuild a reference video or put the people from your photos into a clip. The table below says what Katana does that this page does not. Cicadas is not affiliated with Higgsfield or Anthropic.

Why use Cicadas for Higgsfield Katana alternative

Claude writes the video, this page draws it

The prompt asks Claude for a motion scene: text, counting numbers, bar charts, shapes, arrows and your own image files, each with when it appears and how it moves. The page checks the answer, draws every frame and saves an MP4 of up to 60 seconds in 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1. The manual route renders locally in your browser and never runs the answer as a program. If the optional paid scene writer is available, it sends your description—and the scene when revising—to Cicadas and its model provider.

What Katana does that this page does not

Katana follows a reference video's shot structure and pacing and rebuilds it as generated video with up to five photos of characters, products or clothing. This page takes no reference video and makes no generated footage. On Cicadas, motion control makes your own character move like a reference video (paid), and the product video page turns one to three of your own product photos or clips into an editable three-scene video.

No subscription and no connector

Katana needs an active Higgsfield subscription and the Higgsfield connector in Claude, and it uses your plan's credits. The copy-and-paste route here needs no account and no connector: the prompt is plain text you paste into a Claude chat. We tested it with Claude Opus, Sonnet and Haiku through Claude Code; we have not tried the Claude app on a Free or Pro plan.

Higgsfield Katana alternative FAQ

Tested on Cicadas · reviewed 2026-10-14

Checked on 2026-10-14. What this page says about Katana comes from Higgsfield's blog post "Higgsfield Meets Katana", read that day through a text fetcher: a skill for Claude that rebuilds video edits from a reference (an uploaded video or a preset) and up to five photos of characters, products or clothing, run through the Higgsfield connector, for active subscribers, billed in plan credits; the post states no price and says plan tiers differ by region. We have not used Katana, so nothing here compares the quality of the two. The tool on this page is the one on the Claude motion graphics page, tested on 2026-10-10: the prompt with four briefs went to Claude Opus, Sonnet and Haiku through Claude Code, all six answers passed the check, and the four from Opus and Sonnet are the examples here, unedited, exported in Chrome as 15 to 20 second MP4s with no sound. Not tested: the Claude app on a Free or Pro plan, other chat models, Safari, Firefox and a real phone.
