First and Last Frame Video AI

Upload an opening image and a closing target, then describe one continuous camera or lighting transition. Veo 3.1 Fast creates a silent four-, six- or eight-second private MP4; the endpoints guide the result but are not exact interpolation guarantees.

For a camera transition, use the same subject with similar framing. Large changes in shape or viewpoint can produce ghosting or distortion; first/last frames are not exact interpolation. Review the full video after download.

A paper island, drifting clouds.

An eight-second Veo scene using the same paper landscape for both endpoints. Clouds cross the island; inspect the join before using it as a loop.

Workflow and limitations

A complete two-image workflow

Upload two JPG, PNG or WebP images up to 8 MB each, confirm their order, choose 4, 6 or 8 seconds and generate one private silent Veo MP4.

Prepare compatible endpoints

Use the same subject with similar lighting, framing and perspective. Describe camera or lighting movement; large shape or scene changes can create ghosting, duplicates or unwanted morphing.

Two real outputs, two limits

An identical-frame paper-island test showed cloud motion but no guaranteed seamless loop. A different-frame product push-in showed ghosting. Provider or MP4-validation failures return job credits; successful creative output still requires full review.

How to use it

  1. 01

Upload the first and last images as JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 8 MB each. Use matching subject, lighting and perspective.

  2. 02

Check the image order; use Swap first and last images if needed. Choose a transition preset and edit its prompt.

  3. 03

Review 4, 6 or 8 seconds, resolution, aspect ratio and the exact credit quote. Generate once, watch the whole transition and download or recover the private MP4.

Prompt ideas

Untested prompt drafts. For recorded outputs, use the playable examples and testing record.

  • “Move the camera slowly from the opening wide composition toward the closing close-up. Keep the same subject rigid and stable; no cuts, duplicates or morphing.”

  • “Keep the camera locked while lighting changes gradually from the opening image toward the closing image. Preserve scene geometry and subject shape.”

  • “For matching endpoint images, keep the landscape stable while clouds drift gently and return toward their initial positions; inspect the join before treating it as a loop.”

FAQ

Evidence, sources and testing scope

Two recorded eight-second Veo outputs exercise the actual endpoint: an identical-frame paper-island loop attempt with visible cloud motion and a different-frame product push-in that showed ghosting. Endpoints guide the transition; exact interpolation, arbitrary scene changes and seamless looping are not guaranteed.
