Product video AI models compared on the same photos

One coffee photo, one ring and one perfume bottle, each run on two or three AI video models on Cicadas: what changed, what it cost and which to pick.

Video examples here were generated on Cicadas and keep their model, settings and date. Cicadas earns money when you generate with these models. How we test

Clips recorded with these models:

Models:
Kling 3.0 Pro, FLUX 3, Vidu Q4, Seedance 2.5, Gemini Omni Flash 1.1, Veo 3.1 Fast

every clip we keep is listed with its settings, cost and request ID; failed or discarded runs are listed in the test record.
Product video AI models compared on the same photos

A product shot has one job: keep the product as it is while something small moves. We gave the same photo and the same prompt to two or three models on Cicadas and kept every first result. Each clip below is in the test log with its request ID; prices are what Cicadas charges today (October 15, 2026).

This is not a ranking. One run per model, no retries, and three products are not every product. It shows how differently models treat the same request, which is what you need to know before you pay for ten more clips.

Test 1: a coffee photo, three models

The same café still and the same prompt: steam rises from the cup and the camera eases in, the cup and croissant stay as they are. Image to video, 5 seconds.

Vidu Q4Settings5 s, 720pCredits today119Provider cost≈$0.33Request01a12a61-757f…

The pictures are close to identical: all three kept the cup, the croissant and the cloth, and all three gave the same thin steam and gentle push-in. What differs is everything around the picture. Kling returned the largest file (1920 × 1080) and no sound track. FLUX 3, with sound on, chose a single bird chirp so quiet that the clip is nearly silent. Vidu Q4 added calm instrumental music nobody asked for, and was the cheapest of the three.

So for a steam-and-push-in shot, pick on price, size and sound, not on the picture. If you will add your own music, Vidu Q4's track is something to remove.

Test 2: a ring under moving light

Two pairs ran here. Kling 3.0 Pro and FLUX 3 got a "light sweeps across a still ring" prompt; we covered them in an earlier test: both kept the ring's shape, and FLUX 3 kept it so still that the light barely moved. Seedance 2.5 and Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 got a stricter prompt: a locked close-up where nothing moves but a soft highlight.

Gemini Omni Flash 1.1Settings4 s, 720pCredits today100Provider cost≈$0.40Request01a12df7-8624…

Both kept the ring in place and the camera still, as asked. Seedance kept the champagne stone's colour while a soft highlight crossed the band. Omni, back in 48 seconds, let the stone and the gold turn paler by the end of four seconds. For jewelry the colour is the product, so this is the difference that matters, and it costs: Seedance was almost five times the price.

Test 3: a perfume bottle, one slow orbit

The same picture of a green glass bottle and the same prompt: a slow camera orbit, the water ribbon flowing behind. Image to video, 6 seconds.

Gemini Omni Flash 1.1Settings6 s, 720pCredits today150Provider cost≈$0.60Request01a12d71-7a11…

Here the two models split the request. Veo kept the bottle exactly as it was but hardly moved the camera. Omni, back in 49 seconds, made the orbit the prompt asked for, with rocks and leaves sliding past, but the glass went from deep green to a paler, clearer green partway through. Omni also added quiet trickling water: its sound cannot be switched off on Cicadas.

fal's page for this Veo 3.1 Fast endpoint says it will be deprecated on November 17, 2026 (read on October 15), so check the Veo 3.1 page before you plan a campaign around it.

Which model for which product shot

  • The colour or finish must not change (jewelry, cosmetics, a branded pack): in our runs Seedance 2.5 held the ring's colour and Veo 3.1 Fast held the bottle's; Omni changed both. Seedance is the expensive one.
  • Steam, light or a small push-in on a stable product: Kling 3.0 Pro, FLUX 3 and Vidu Q4 gave the same picture here; choose by price (Vidu Q4), file size (Kling) or sound.
  • A visible camera move: Omni followed the orbit, Veo did not; review the product in every frame of Omni's clip.
  • You need silence: Kling had no sound track; FLUX 3 was near silent; Omni always adds sound, and Vidu Q4 added music.

Whatever you pick, look at the first and last frames side by side before you publish. Every difference above was visible that way.

What these tests don't show

One run per model, at the settings listed, so lengths and resolutions differ between models; another photo may come out differently. The prompts are the ones in the test log. Prices change; the pricing page and each model page show today's. To make your own, start from the product video maker, or read the guides for coffee, jewelry and perfume.
