About Luma Ray 3.2 on Cicadas

Luma Ray 3.2 is a video model from Luma AI, the company behind Dream Machine. On this page it turns one image into a silent 5-second clip at 540p or 720p that keeps your image's shape. A 540p clip is 38 credits and a 720p clip is 75; you see the quote before anything is charged, and a failed generation returns its credits. Text to video, 10-second clips and sound are not offered for Ray 3.2 here.

The kitten, on Luma Ray 3.2.

Luma Ray 3.2 at 540p, 5 seconds, silent, from the kitten photo and prompt of the Kling, Seedance and Vidu kitten clips; back in 72 seconds. The room and the fur stay as in the photo, but the kitten turns its whole head to the window, further than the small tilt the prompt asked for. The clip keeps the photo's 3:4 shape (624 × 832).

Why use Cicadas for Luma Ray 3.2

Luma Ray 3.2 image to video

Start from one image you have the right to use: it is the first frame and sets the frame shape. In our tests a 3:4 kitten photo came back as 624 × 832 at 540p and a 16:9 café image as 1280 × 720 at 720p.

Five seconds, 540p or 720p

Every clip is 5 seconds. 540p costs 7.5 credits a second (38 credits a clip) and 720p costs 15 (75 credits). Ten-second clips need several keyframes on this model and are not offered here; neither is 1080p.

Silent clips, close to the image

Ray 3.2 returns no sound track. In our café test the cup and croissant kept their shape while steam rose and the camera eased in; in the kitten test the head turned further toward the window than the prompt asked.

Luma Ray 3.2 prompt ideas

Copy one into the prompt box above and adapt it to your shot. Or write your own shot by shot in the prompt generator.

  • “The ginger kitten blinks once and slowly tilts its head a few degrees toward the window as if listening. Gentle natural breathing and a tiny ear twitch. Both front paws stay planted on the green cushion; body remains seated. Locked camera. Preserve face, fur pattern, whiskers and exact kitten anatomy. Calm natural movement, no extra limbs, no mouth opening, no cuts, no added objects.”

  • “Thin translucent steam rises slowly from the coffee and curls naturally in the warm side light. The camera makes a very gentle forward push toward the cup and croissant. The ceramic cup, handle, saucer and pastry remain rigid and completely stationary. Preserve all food textures. Cozy early-morning mood, shallow depth of field, one continuous shot, no hands, no people, no text.”
