4s · MP4About Omni 1.1 vs Seedance 2.5 on Cicadas
Omni 1.1 vs Seedance 2.5 is mostly a question of price, wait and length. On Cicadas, 4 seconds at 720p is 100 credits on Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 and 473 on Seedance 2.5; run in the same hour, Omni came back in under a minute and Seedance in 3 to 4 minutes. Seedance is the one that makes a single clip of up to 30 seconds and can be silent. We ran both on the same five prompts, three from text and two from a picture. The ten clips, what each model got right and wrong, and a generator that runs either model are on this page.
Omni 1.1 vs Seedance 2.5 examples made on Cicadas
Flames in the pan, on Gemini Omni Flash 1.1.
Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 at 720p, 4 seconds, with the same prompt as the recorded Veo 3.1 Fast kitchen clip; back in 42 seconds. A cook in a white jacket and dark apron tosses vegetables into the air from a cast-iron pan and flames rise around it, in a wider side shot than the Veo clip that shows his face and a second cook behind him. Two automated listeners heard rustling and a thud or sliding sound, not the sizzle the prompt asked for; no speech or music.

Seedance 2.5 at 720p with sound, 4 seconds, with the same prompt as the recorded Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 kitchen clip; back in 3 minutes 54 seconds. A close side shot: the vegetables fly high out of the pan and a large ball of flame bursts up beside them, with a red-haired cook leaning in at the edge of the frame. The pan looks like steel rather than the cast iron the prompt asked for, and no one else is in the kitchen, where the prompt asked for a busy one. Two automated listeners heard a mechanical scrape or click and a deep whoosh, not a sizzle; no speech or music.
Use this recipe ↗A rainy evening, a sleeping cat.
Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 at 720p. Warm interior light and window rain; the model scored it with soft ambient music instead of rain and thunder.
Use this recipe ↗A rainy evening, a sleeping cat, on Seedance 2.5.
Seedance 2.5 at 480p with sound, 4 seconds, with the same prompt as the recorded Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 bookshop clip; back in 3 minutes. A ginger cat sleeps on a stack of books by a window while raindrops trickle down the glass and warm lamps glow, in a slow push-in. The window shows more bookshelves rather than a street, and the picture is softer at 480p. Two automated listeners heard a steady rushing sound like rain or running water and no music; one also heard low rumbles, the other bird chirps.
Use this recipe ↗A paper city starts to move, on Gemini Omni Flash 1.1.
Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 at 720p, 4 seconds, with the same prompt as the recorded Seedance 2.5 paper city clip; back in 36 seconds. A red paper tram glides along its rails past rows of grey paper houses under a blue evening sky, and the windows light up house by house while the camera stays locked. No people or lettering appear. Two automated listeners heard a fast, rhythmic clicking like a small wheel, without the soft city ambience the prompt also asked for.

A red paper tram crosses a cardboard city as the windows light up, with mechanical rattling and rustling in the recorded audio.
Use this recipe ↗The gold ring lighting study, on Gemini Omni Flash 1.1.
Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 at 720p, 4 seconds, from the same picture and prompt as the recorded Seedance 2.5 ring clip; back in 48 seconds. The ring stays in place on the dark stone and the camera does not move, as the prompt asks. The champagne stone and the gold turn paler by the end of the clip; the Seedance clip kept the stone's colour while a soft highlight crossed the band. The sound track is close to silent.

A four-second, 720p silent Seedance test of an original ring illustration. Motion is deliberately subtle. Review your own product details before publishing.
Use this recipe ↗The road into the city, on Gemini Omni Flash 1.1.
Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 at 720p, 4 seconds, from the same picture and prompt as the recorded Seedance 2.5 coastal road clip; back in 42 seconds. The coupe pulls away along the wet cliff road while the camera eases forward only slightly, so the frame stays close to the picture and the skyline, bridge and islands hold still; the Seedance clip drops the camera toward the road with far stronger parallax, which is what the prompt asked for. The prompt also asked for silent footage, and Omni added a low synthesizer drone, since its sound cannot be switched off.

A high tracking shot follows an unbranded coupe along a wet coastal road. Near foliage and the guardrail move faster than the distant city. Four seconds, 720p, silent.

Omni 1.1 vs Seedance 2.5 FAQ
Tested on Cicadas · reviewed 2026-10-12
Ten clips through fal.ai in five same-prompt pairs, all 4 seconds and 16:9. Five were made on 2026-10-12, each sent once and none retried: Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 at 720p on the paper city prompt (back in 36 seconds), the ring picture (48 seconds) and the coastal road picture (42 seconds); Seedance 2.5 at 720p with sound on the kitchen prompt (3 minutes 54 seconds) and at 480p with sound on the bookshop prompt (3 minutes). The other five were already recorded on this site: Omni's kitchen clip (2026-10-12) and bookshop clip (2026-09-27), and Seedance's paper city clip at 480p with sound (2026-09-22) and its ring and coastal road clips at 720p with sound off (2026-09-23). Kitchen: Seedance gave the higher toss and the larger flame, with a steel-looking pan in an empty kitchen; Omni kept the cast-iron pan and a second cook; two automated listeners heard a sizzle in neither. Bookshop: both show the sleeping cat and the rain on the glass; Seedance's window shows more shelves, and its sound is a rain-like rush where Omni played music. Paper city: both show the tram crossing and the windows lighting up; Omni's clip is 720p for 100 credits, Seedance's 480p for 221. Ring: Seedance kept the stone's colour; Omni turned the stone and the gold paler. Coastal road: Seedance dropped the camera toward the road with strong parallax as the prompt asked; Omni barely moved it and added a synthesizer drone although the prompt asked for silent footage. In the bookshop and paper city pairs Seedance is at 480p and Omni at 720p, because the two share no size at Seedance's lower price. The picture prompts and the paper city prompt were written for Seedance, and its ring clip was a second attempt after the prompt was revised, while Omni got one attempt at each; the bookshop prompt was written for Omni and the kitchen prompt for Veo. Five prompts are too few to rank the models. Clips longer than 4 seconds, 1080p, vertical clips, speech and Seedance 2.0 were not tested. On 2026-09-23 a Seedance 720p clip took almost 20 minutes on this site.
