6 Free Logo Animation Makers Compared

Cicadas, Canva, Adobe Express, Renderforest, Jitter and LogoAI checked on Oct 17, 2026: sign-up, watermark, export size and format.

6 Free Logo Animation Makers Compared

Short answer: if you want a free MP4 of your logo with no watermark and no account, Cicadas was the only one of six tools that gave us one in our test on October 17, 2026: a 4-second 1080p clip, ready in 2.37 seconds. Canva, Renderforest, Jitter and LogoAI asked us to sign up or sign in before any download, and Adobe Express's editor did not load for us.

We make Cicadas, so it is in this table too. We tested every tool on the same day with the same 1200 by 400 PNG of a made-up logo, in a clean browser, without an account and without accepting cookie banners, and kept a screenshot of each step. What happens after sign-up we did not see, so it is quoted from each tool's own pricing and help pages, read the same day.

Our test export from Cicadas: the made-up Maple Co. logo, Fade, 4 seconds at 1920 by 1080, no watermark.

How we tested

We used one test file for every tool: a 1200 by 400 PNG of a made-up logo, "Maple Co.", on a white background. For each tool we opened its animated logo page in a fresh browser with no account, clicked the main button, tried to add the logo and tried to download. We stopped wherever the tool asked us to sign up or sign in, took a screenshot and noted the time. We did not create accounts, so every fact about a tool's free plan after sign-up comes from its own pricing or help page.

Cicadas

Cicadas' logo animation maker opened without asking for an account, took the PNG and gave us a 4-second 1920 by 1080 MP4 2.37 seconds later, with no watermark. It runs in your browser, so the file is not uploaded. You pick one of six moves (fade, pop, rise, wipe, focus or shine), an intro, an outro or both, a 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1 frame, a background colour and 2 to 6 seconds, at 720p or 1080p. It moves your file rather than redrawing it, so the letters stay as they are. It has no GIF or transparent export and no music.

Canva

Canva's "Make an animated logo" button took us straight to its sign-up page. Its help page says the free plan downloads MP4 videos up to 30 minutes long at up to 1920 by 1080, and GIFs up to one minute at up to 1280 by 720. Premium elements stay watermarked until you buy them. It suits you if you already design in Canva and want the logo inside a larger video.

Adobe Express

Adobe Express's animated logo page says the tool is free to use, that you download the animated logo as an MP4, and that GIFs go through a separate converter; its templates run from 500 by 500 to 1200 by 1200 pixels, and the pricing page says no credit card is required. In our test the editor stayed on its loading screen in two clean browsers, so we could not check the account step or the watermark.

Renderforest

Renderforest's "Try for Free" button went to sign-up. Opening a logo reveal template did put us in its editor without an account, but we could not find an export button there. Its logo page says videos export in 360p, HD720 or HD1080 depending on the subscription package, as MP4, with a 30 MB upload limit for free users. Its plans page lists "No watermarks" on paid plans and single exports. It offers ready-made logo reveal templates, such as the Solid Logo Reveal we opened.

Jitter

Jitter let us browse logo templates; using one opened its log-in page. Its pricing page lists the free plan at $0 with 3 workspace files, video, GIF and Lottie export at 720p and 30 fps, and says upgrading removes the Jitter watermark. Jitter is a motion design editor, so it suits you if you want to animate each part of the logo yourself.

LogoAI

LogoAI let us upload the logo and preview 25 motion styles without an account; 12 of them are marked Pro. Both download buttons, GIF and WebM, opened a sign-in box. Its page says you sign in to download, that Pro styles and transparent GIFs need Pro access or credits, and that WebM exports use a background colour. It does not offer MP4 on that page.

When the free version is not enough

If you need a transparent background, a GIF, a 3D reveal, music or a clip longer than six seconds, the tools above with paid plans cover more than Cicadas' free maker does. If your logo should move in a way it cannot on its own, such as turning in 3D or forming out of particles, an AI image-to-video clip on Cicadas starts at 140 credits, and the price shows before you generate.

What we could not check

We did not sign up to the other five tools, so their free plans after sign-up are as their pages describe them, not exports we saw. Adobe Express did not load in our browsers, so its row has no test result. Plans and limits change; check each tool's page before you rely on a number here.

Questions

Which logo animation maker is free without a watermark?

Of the six we checked on October 17, 2026, Cicadas gave us a 1080p MP4 with no watermark and no account. Jitter's free plan keeps the Jitter watermark until you upgrade, and Canva watermarks premium elements until you buy them. Renderforest lists "No watermarks" on its paid plans and single exports; LogoAI's and Adobe Express's pages we read do not say.

Can I make an animated logo without signing up?

On Cicadas, yes: the page took our PNG and gave us an MP4 without asking for an account. LogoAI let us upload and preview without an account but asked us to sign in to download. Canva's and Renderforest's main buttons went to a sign-up page, and Jitter asked us to log in when we opened a template. Adobe Express's editor did not load for us.

What resolution do free logo animations export at?

Cicadas: 720p or 1080p at 30 frames per second. Canva Free: MP4 up to 1920 by 1080 and GIF up to 1280 by 720. Jitter Free: 720p at 30 fps. Renderforest: 360p, HD720 or HD1080, depending on the subscription package. Adobe Express's animated logo templates run from 500 by 500 to 1200 by 1200 pixels. LogoAI's page does not state a size.

Which free logo animation tools export a GIF?

Canva (up to one minute), Jitter (video, GIF or Lottie) and LogoAI (GIF or WebM) say they do, and Adobe Express points to a separate GIF converter. Cicadas exports MP4 only, and Renderforest's logo page mentions only MP4.

How long does a free logo animation take?

On Cicadas a 4-second 1080p MP4 was ready 2.37 seconds after we chose the logo, because it is made in your browser. We could not time the others: each stopped at a sign-in or sign-up step before an export, or did not load.

Does my logo file get uploaded?

Not on Cicadas: the page animates the file in your browser and does not upload it. For the other tools, check how each one handles uploaded files in its own terms.
