How to Make a Human Pigeon AI Video: Six Tries, Prompts and Cost

In short: a human pigeon AI video comes from one portrait and one prompt. MiniMax H3 Max draws a new vertical clip of a pigeon with that face among ordinary pigeons. We have six tries, five of them with a full record. The full face always came out with a head bigger than a pigeon's. A "mouth only" prompt gave the most pigeon-like bird, but it no longer looks like the person. Naming a tiny size shrank the head and froze the bird. On the Human Pigeon AI page a 5-second clip is 63 credits.

We make Cicadas, the site that runs these clips. Every clip below was generated from an AI-made, fictional portrait. The three new tries below are listed with their date, settings and request ID; the two October clips are on the Human Pigeon AI page, and the third bench clip is known only from that page's FAQ. How we record and check every sample is explained in what 255 AI video samples cost us.

What the human pigeon meme is

It is a short clip of a pigeon with a person's head pecking and strutting among ordinary pigeons on a pavement or in a park. People search for it as "pigeon with human face", "AI pigeon face" and "pigeon human face meme", and some want the variant where only the mouth is human. Both are covered below.

The six tries at a glance

The five clips with a record all used MiniMax H3 Max reference-to-video with one portrait, 9:16, 480P, 5 seconds and sound on.

  • Park bench (2026-10-05). The page's first scene. The pigeon is there from the first frame and grins and flaps its wings between two ordinary pigeons. The head is much larger than a pigeon's.
  • City pavement (2026-10-05). The page's second scene. For the first half the face is small and half hidden behind pecking pigeons; after a cut the human-faced pigeon stands alone and stares at the camera.
  • A third bench clip. The page's FAQ records it: the model drew a small beak over the nose and turned the sweater from the photo into the bird's plumage.
  • Mouth only (2026-11-06). A normal pigeon head with human lips where the beak should be.
  • True scale (2026-11-06). The whole face, asked to be "no bigger than a walnut".
  • Take-off (2026-11-06). The whole face, lifting off past the other pigeons.

The three new tries are below with their prompts, so you can copy them.

Try 1: a pigeon with a human mouth

Request ID 01a1aedc-9661-7c10-83cd-3cfb066c643d, 2026-11-06.

Realistic vertical phone footage on a city pavement. From the first frame, an ordinary grey pigeon stands in the middle of the frame. It has a normal pigeon head and eyes, but instead of a beak it has the human mouth and lips of the person from Image 1. It bobs its head, looks up at the camera and moves its human lips as if muttering, then pecks at a crumb. Ordinary pigeons walk around it. Everyday street sounds and pigeon cooing, no music. Handheld shot, natural daylight, no text.

What came back. The bird is the size of a real pigeon and stays that way. It has human lips and a hint of a nose where the beak should be, with a small pale beak tip left above the lips. It looks at the camera, lowers its head to peck at a crumb, hiding the lips for a moment, then looks up again while other pigeons walk behind it.

The catch. Only the mouth comes from the photo. Nobody would recognise the person from this clip, so pick it when you want the meme, not a likeness.

Try 2: the whole face at true pigeon scale

Request ID 01a1aedc-9b7f-7730-a2ad-01d6194a0349, 2026-11-06.

Realistic vertical phone footage of a park bench, close to the birds. From the first frame, a pigeon with the human head and face of the person from Image 1 stands on the back of the bench. The human head is tiny, exactly the size of a real pigeon's head, no bigger than a walnut, sitting on a normal-sized pigeon body. It tilts its head, blinks and coos at the camera. Two ordinary pigeons of the same size stand beside it. Keep the face and hair as in the photo. Park sounds and pigeon cooing, no music. Handheld shot, soft daylight, no text.

What came back. The head is far smaller than in the October bench clip, but it is still a human head on a pigeon neck, wider than the heads of the two ordinary pigeons beside it. The face is clear and grinning.

The catch. It barely moves for five seconds. We saw no clear blink or coo in the frames, so it reads almost as a still. The page's own scene text, which says "at pigeon scale", gives livelier movement and a bigger head. We found no prompt that gives both.

Try 3: take-off

Request ID 01a1aedc-a094-7ae1-a111-2bbb95c30cf1, 2026-11-06.

Realistic vertical phone footage on a sunny town square. From the first frame, a pigeon with the human head and face of the person from Image 1, on an ordinary grey pigeon body, stands on the paving stones among ordinary pigeons. It looks at the camera, flaps its wings and takes off with the flock, flies a short loop and lands again on the paving stones. Keep the face and hair as in the photo. Wing flaps, square ambience and pigeon cooing, no music. Handheld shot, natural daylight, no text.

What came back. It looks at the camera, flaps, lifts off past the other pigeons, flies a short arc and lands on the paving facing the camera again. The face and curly hair hold through the whole move.

The catch. The head is about as big as the body, the largest of the five clips we can see. The flight frames are blurred.

What the six tries taught us

  1. "At pigeon scale" is not enough. The page's prompt asks for it, and the head still comes out much larger than a pigeon's.
  2. A concrete size works, at a price. "No bigger than a walnut" shrank the head a lot, but the bird stood still.
  3. Mouth only is the most pigeon-like. It keeps real proportions, but it does not keep the person's likeness.
  4. Big movement brings the big head back. In the take-off clip the face survived the flight, but the head grew to the size of the body.
  5. Runs differ. The third bench clip with the same scene drew a beak over the nose. If the first result is off, a second run with the same photo can come out differently.

How to make one on Cicadas

  1. Open Human Pigeon AI and sign in.
  2. Add one portrait: face forward, good light, nothing covering the face. One photo is the maximum.
  3. Pick the park bench or the city pavement scene. The scene fills the prompt box, and you can edit it or paste one of the three prompts above.
  4. Keep 5 seconds and 480P for a first try, and check the quote.
  5. Tick the photo confirmation, generate, then download the MP4 from My videos.

The page runs MiniMax H3 Max, the same model behind Hailuo AI. If you want to compare it with what the model costs on Hailuo's own site, see is Hailuo AI free. The same one-photo method also turns a portrait into a Christmas elf, covered in how to make an elf video from a photo.

What it costs

On Cicadas, at 480P, 5 seconds is 63 credits, 10 seconds is 125 and 15 seconds is 188; at 768P they are 100, 200 and 300. The quote shows before you generate, and a failed generation returns its credits. Our three new tries ran through fal, the provider behind the page. At its list price of $0.05 a second for MiniMax H3 Max they cost about $0.25 each, $0.75 in all. That is an estimate from the list price, not a reconciled bill.

Frequently asked questions

How do I make an AI pigeon with a human face?

Upload one front-facing portrait to the Human Pigeon AI page, pick the park bench or the city pavement scene, check the quote and generate. MiniMax H3 Max draws a new vertical clip of a pigeon with that face; nothing is pasted into an existing video.

Can I make a pigeon with only a human mouth?

Yes. Replace the scene text with a prompt that keeps a normal pigeon head and asks for the human mouth and lips instead of a beak. In our 2026-11-06 try the pigeon kept real pigeon proportions and had human lips, but the rest of the face did not look like the person in the photo.

Why is the human head so big on the pigeon?

We do not know why; in every clip where we asked for the whole face, the head came out bigger than a pigeon's. Naming a concrete size, "no bigger than a walnut", shrank it a lot, but that bird barely moved for five seconds.

Does the face stay the same when the pigeon flies?

In our take-off try it did: the face held through the flap, a short flight and the landing. The head was roughly the size of the body, and the flight frames are blurred.

How much does a human pigeon AI video cost?

On Cicadas a 5-second clip at 480P is 63 credits, 10 seconds is 125 and 15 seconds is 188; at 768P they are 100, 200 and 300. Our three new tries cost about $0.25 each at fal's list price for MiniMax H3 Max, $0.75 in all.

Can I use someone else's face?

Only with their agreement, and never a celebrity or public figure. You tick a confirmation before each generation. Every clip in this post was made from AI-made, fictional portraits.
