Seedance 2.5 vs Wan 3.0: Choose a Workflow
Choose by available inputs, duration and resolution, then inspect two recorded yellow-corridor takes from the same text prompt. One case establishes no overall winner.
The yellow-corridor examples were recorded directly in the supplier Model Lab, with model, settings, date and charges retained. They do not test Cicadas debit or download flows. Cicadas earns money when you generate.

Cover: the Seedance 2.5 take recorded October 25, 2026 for the yellow-corridor example below. The later lamp or bag brief remains an untested proposal.
Choose Seedance 2.5 when your shot needs a duration outside 5 or 10 seconds, including a continuous take up to 30 seconds. Choose Wan 3.0 Prime when a 5- or 10-second shot and a selectable 1080p output fit the brief. Those are differences in Cicadas' available controls, not a visual-quality ranking. Both pages support text and a single starting image; neither offers every mode advertised for the broader model family.
One recorded yellow-corridor prompt
Recorded October 25 directly in the supplier Model Lab. Both used the exact English prompt below, text input, a requested 5 seconds, 9:16 and audio on. These recordings are not a Cicadas checkout, debit or download-flow test. Seedance selected 480p and Wan 720p, so this is not a same-resolution comparison.
First-person found-footage shot in an original empty maze of faded yellow corridors. Low tiled ceiling, fluorescent fixtures, worn carpet, a slow cautious walk with slight handheld sway. Five seconds, one continuous shot with a clear path ahead. Sound: faint fluorescent hum and soft footsteps. No people, creatures, logos, writing or cuts. VHS grain as a visual texture, not a date overlay.

These are the actual supplier charges for these requests, not Cicadas credit quotes. Model-wide sample counts in the header remain historical records, not the number of matched tests here.
Seedance produced a darker, more worn space; Wan produced a brighter, longer corridor. Both show forward movement and vertical sway. Higher resolution alone does not establish the more unsettling Backrooms look. All files were completely downloaded and decoded; audio content has not been independently heard, so footsteps, hum, music and sound synchronization remain unscored. One prompt and one take per model establish no overall winner.

Wan’s web playback copy is re-encoded for delivery at the original 720×1280 frame size; the raw supplier file is retained in the acceptance evidence.

These are this site's settings as checked on October 25, 2026. The fal Seedance 2.5 API and Wan 3.0 Prime API describe the supplier endpoints. A provider capability does not automatically become an option on Cicadas. Check the tool's current controls and quote before submitting.
The “Prime” suffix matters: this comparison is not Wan 2.7 or an unspecified Wan 3 configuration. The Wan Prime guide explains the available single-image workflow. A 30-second option in a model-family document is not a promise that Cicadas' Wan page has that option.
A five-second test both pages can run
Suppose you need an unbranded travel-bag shot for a product listing. Use one permitted source photo, pick 5 seconds and 720p on both pages, and keep the audio choice the same. The same duration and resolution make the comparison easier to interpret; they do not guarantee identical rendering or image crops.
This is a proposed test prompt, not a recorded result:
The single canvas travel bag in the starting image stays on the bench. A soft patch of daylight moves slowly across its front. Fixed camera, one continuous shot. Preserve the handle count, zipper position and visible seams. No hands, text, added objects or cuts.
- Open each model page and use its image-input mode. Upload the same original image, rather than a recompressed screenshot of the first model's output.
- Copy the same brief and settings. Read and record each exact credit quote before deciding whether to run it. This article has not submitted this proposed comparison.
- Compare the opening, middle and final frames against the source. Record handle count, zipper shape, seam drift and the light movement. Keep an accepted take even if the other model looks more dramatic.
If both fail on the handles, make the source simpler or reduce the light movement before trying a different model. Changing several variables at once makes it hard to learn what improved the result.
When the longer option actually helps
A continuous reveal may need more time than a looping product detail. Seedance's 15- or 30-second option can fit that requirement without inventing a multi-shot editing workflow. It is still a generated take: watch the whole clip for identity or geometry drift. Do not use a longer duration merely because it exists; a five-second usable shot can serve the task better than a long take with a broken ending.
For a short shot that needs a 1080p delivery option, Wan Prime exposes that setting here. Higher output resolution alone does not prove more accurate hands, lettering or product geometry. Use the frame extractor to inspect the actual file, and keep the source image alongside it.
Audio and cost are separate decisions
Both pages expose generated audio controls. Start with the soundtrack requirement: an ambient scene can use generated sound, while a product clip that will receive your own narration may need a different edit. Neither model switch supplies a licensed song or guarantees exact sound effects.
There is no single fixed price for this comparison. Duration, resolution and the current page quote determine the requested credits; this article does not change prices or offer a cheaper billing path. Compare the complete cost of an accepted deliverable, including any further attempts you choose to make. Read the result and failure state before deciding to retry.
What this comparison does and does not establish
This is a workflow comparison from the live model configuration and supplier schemas. The yellow-corridor case above adds one shared text prompt. It establishes no timing benchmark or overall winner and does not test the proposed bag brief. Existing clips on the methodology page document other briefs; they cannot establish which model handles the proposed bag shot better. For a wider view, use the recorded same-prompt comparisons, then return to the model page matching your input and delivery requirement.
Questions before you generate
Is Wan better than Seedance?
There is no universal winner established here. On Cicadas, the useful differences are available duration, resolution and framing; judge quality on your own accepted shot.
Can Wan 3.0 Prime generate 30 seconds here?
The Wan Prime page currently offers 5 or 10 seconds. Seedance 2.5 has a 30-second option; provider family documentation may describe different capabilities.
Can I upload a reference video to either page?
These two pages offer text or a single starting image. A reference-video action workflow belongs on the separate Motion Control AI page.
Does 1080p mean the product will stay accurate?
No. Output resolution is a setting, not a guarantee of geometry, lettering or identity. Inspect the beginning, middle and end against the source.
How should I compare the cost?
Read each page’s current quote for the same duration and suitable settings before submitting. This article does not claim a fixed price or a cheaper model in every configuration.
